adi u have a stock ecu,

the standard clocks in a gt/glanza become inacurate after 70mph, and the needle will go well past the 180kph and then you will feel it cut out.

Ricky on the reverse indo dials my car went upto the GT sign, so i definately have my car de-resticted???

i had a 8500 rev limit and could go over 180k i checked the ecu and there was no jam sticker but i left the car upto martin treacey to check it over and he found the other little black jam box sayin super tuning system under the dash and it was wired. so i rang the dude i bought it from and he checked the reciept book he got from the importers and after all that i finally discovered it had a jam ecu! correct me if im wrong here guys but dosent the ct9 start to lose boost pressure after about 6800? so in my opinion the increased rev limit useless unless you running tdo4!
in fact i blame the increased rev limit on my busted turbo at my first race against a 1.8 civic! and that was in mondello mods not on the street!

yours rumel does seem as if it has an aftermarket ecu, wasnt yours running 1 bar on ct9 when u bought it?

yeah, strangest thing is ricky i never hit fuel cut either  but when i had a look at the ecu, it looked standard but i finish work at half 4 so going to quickly have a look at the ecu by un-screwing & dropping it down, hoew long you reckon it will take???

well there are 2 possible things doing on here allright.

1st: u have an aftermarket ECU that u are not aware of (most possibly)

2nd: your dials are way innaccurate.

Sounds like we could both be in luck here, Rumel!

Going to similarly drop mine out, for the time it takes and try and decipher it's origin, but not building up my hopes.

This car has gave me more suprises than i actually thought, i was always told im stupid for buying a gt for the amount i paid, but with cusco coilies, 7 point role cae, blitz fmix, greddy oil cooler, blitz dual sbc & various other mods its worth it :)

Now if the ecu is aftermarket its a bragin :)

with all those mods aswell i would be pretty certian it's an aftermarket ecu mate.

you gt was a bargain, dont listen to any of the idiots, i see how much you bought it for and it wasnt a lot of money.

i paid more for mine than you did 6 months before you did, and mine was bog standard with just wheels and suspension and bodykit, and the paint work was rather ropey aswell.

I just checked with another knowlegable member Gorganl. There was a way where some guys in Japan and Australia were replacing a part, a higher resistance diode I believe in the ecu itself to trick it to allow for higher rpm.

just to clarify----this is in relation to the 4efe/5efe ecu

i had a more detailed link in the pass....but cant seem to find it,,,but that above link gives u an idea

......maybe the same can be done on the 4efte ecu......but who knows

i do think i have heard of it being done on the 4efte----but that was a long time ago if memory serves me well.....

most people simply go the route of emanage now...or aftermarket ecu,.....so these short cuts have tended to be bypassed:haha:

May not be safe to run the TD04 at one bar, well if you do then just get the fuelling checked out.
