There is no loss as he has been covered on a fully comp basis. He has been charged for the time he has been on cover and for nothing else. We have also given Adam a week to find alternative insurance on a fully comp basis or we have given him the option of TPFT.

If you have quoted Adam fully comp why cant it be continued as it is just now?
Is insurance not like a contract? you offer to a premium rate and Adam pays it in this case? (both bind into a contract)
You surely cant change it now? thats breaching the contract!
correct me if am wrong but am sure thats illegal?

Contract law is actually quite easy to get around.

Also, Adam said they got all his details wrong to begin with, could this be the roots of his problems?

elaine there useless i just phoned them and they said they will only insure females under the age of 24 on imports.

bloody annoying as im trying to get cheap qoutes also

Really I thats cant be right Jase is covered on my insurance and so is Mike B....

this is also what sky insurance were going to do, put a note on it saying that the glanza is a facelft model of the gt turbo.

im not having much luck as usual with other companies, as you all know glanzas arent the easiest car to insure, thats why my situation is worse than just "heres a weeks cover go find someone else"

thats what i had heard ricky, but thought why not give them a try.

if that was the case even before i called surely it would of been picked up neway?

sam, the details i supplied were CORRECT, they can listen back to the tape if they wish.

I'm not doubting you gave them the right details, but for some reason the ones they had weren't. The wrong details could have gone to the underwriters.

My apologise to Ollie (sky insurance), as he stated that on his insurance quote a differnt reg, make model i presumed this would therfore not be covering his vehicle and therefore be a financial loss as he is paying for something he doesnt own.

I ( ME PERSONALLY) DID provide the right details, but the person who was doing my quote somehow has fucked up, i mean the details arent just 1 letter wrong, the hole reg number is completely different.

why would i provide a completely different reg number? hes obviously cocked it up completely and just guessed.

like i stated they can listen back to the tapes and realise i gave them the right details.

the actual make and model came threw correct, just the reg / colour / date of registration which i very much doubt affects the quote neway.

so i dont think apologies should be given just yet..

no mate i thought it said wrong make and model, i totally agree with you, they shouldn't have quoted you in the first place if they couldnt follow through!!!

doing quotes myself was death !!!

19, fault claim on my policy. 1100 with bell!! well worth it though!!

Try Adrian Flux mate - was with sky first year and on renewal they wanted an extra £400 for a front mount !!! Flux came in a lot cheaper than sky with declaring all mods.

yeah same adrian flux wanted 2600 from me!!

car was standard at the time, so dunno what it would have been like with mods!!

what did the FOS say and SKY say when you called...

As your club representative I have spent my morning trying to get a more satisfactory resolution to this. I have spoken to our Office Manager and also to the Director of the company regarding this situation. Naturally, we are very sorry for the current situation you find yourself in, especially as we acted in good faith when we put you on cover.

Whilst we appreciate that this may not be the ideal resolution for you, we are more than happy to offer you TPFT cover at a further discounted rate. Alternatively if you decide this isn't an option we will be happy to refund you in full for the time you have spent on cover, therefore this whole situation will not have cost you any money, just the unfortunate inconvenience.

Once again, our criteria does change on a regular basis, this criteria is dictated to us by our various insurers/underwriters. Insurers/underwriters are allowed to withdraw a rate/acceptance criteria at any time and we have given you as much notice as possible of this.

We would like to apolgise to Adam once again for the inconvenience caused and hope that what we have agreed above goes to show that we take these situations very seriously and will to our very best to resolve them.

Thank you. The over 21s is only for fully comp. We can insure under 21 year olds on a TPFT basis. As you can see from some of the recent posts, for a young, male driver it is quite hard to get a decent price (if you can get a price!) for fully comprehensive.
