my first trackday was with 3g discs and mintex 1144 pads and 330 degree c dry boiling point brake fluid(fresh)
a couple of laps they started over heating and were the major weak point of the car.
next trackday i had daves 3g kit, and it was a massive improvement with same 1144 pads and fresh fluid as above.
my car easily outbroke everything, and the time i was gaining doing this was unbeleivable.
there was a styker race car out that day, i was outbraking him aswell.
if your gonna do a good few trackdays next year, defo go for bigger brakes.
its a great feeling when you just stamp on the brakes as hard as you can doing just over 100mph for a hairpin, and not have to worry about if your brakes will be cooked the next time you need to do it.there was no chance i could do that corner after corner with the standard size brake setup
