ive read eastern oz is harder to get work in?
dont have my trade papers, but worked as a spark for over 4 years,no hgv licence.ill work at whatever pays the most, doesnt matter what it is.
Yes and no. Mining is booming, everything else is slowing down some (except in the major cities). You can work as a sparky in the mines, might be diifficult without trade papers, I really don't know but the pay would be ace. If you can get a truck licence, all the mines are really short haul truck drivers. The pay is crazy!!!!
girlfriend has a degree in interior desigh/fashion.
She could definitly find a job in one of the cities. A mate's gf works in a dress shop in Brissy (has similar degree), not exactly what she wanted work wise but she doesn't mind it.
when you say sponser, does that mean whatever im working at,the employer will have to promise its a secure job?
Ya, pretty much. A little bit easier to get sponsored through mining BUT if you try working in the West as a sparky, I know they are massively short so definite potential for getting sponsored there. In the report i read they mentioned Ireland specifically as a country that could meet the gap in their workforce and a couple of initiatives werre coming online with regards to visas etc, be good to career advisors/ student reps, even try calling Oz embassy in ireland?
