Which alternative do you suggest?Just a note on the ARP main studs, my crank cap snapped and I believe it was due to having these fitted.

I was happy with using the fe camshafts but as they are different I will need to source fte camshafts pr buy aftermarket. I emailed Nippon Auto spares again but they are not answering. I’ll have to call them. Any alternative find fte camshafts? Thank you for helping out.Aftermarket camshafts is something that I have never ran before
You are right. I checked as well after we spoke. This is from a glanza and a 4efe starlet..
Someone can tell me I've provided you the wrong info I'm not sure
I haven’t found any deal yet. I really don’t know who to ask.Standard FTE cams are ok if they are in good condition.
I checked and valves are the same on both engines. So camshafts are the only Zoem Part I have to source together with the oil feed to adapt the fe oil sump. Do you have any link to find the feed metal kit with washer? Most people just run ARP main bolts and not studs. However it is personal preference.
As for the aftermarket camshafts, I only know of Ivan Tighe in Australia, as Speedvision in the USA seems to have closed down.
You will need to swap the cam gears onto any new aftermarket set you buy.

Which bolts dovyou suggest buying? OEM?Most people just run ARP main bolts and not studs.
I understand. If I can avoid buying a new head rocket it will be better.Oh and the 4EFE rocker cover will fit but the breather port a bit more restricted than the 4EFTE version. In fact it actually made an odd whistling noise when left open to atmosphere which the turbo breather doesn't. Just a case of piping it to an oil catch can to eliminate that noise.
(Or yours may not even do it, depends on crankcase pressure)
Thanks for reaching out.Hi Frankie, haven't had a great deal of time spare recently but Daniel is steering you rightly, there's a lot to be said for firsthand experience!
I would be checking the spec of the engine you are basing the build on first. If it's the Corolla engine I don't think the camshafts are shared in the 4EFTE nor are the valve springs as already mentioned.
Can remember someone saying the 4EFE and 4EFTE have the same lift and duration as each other but that could be wrong, if I can find the info in the manuals here I'll post it. You could also be working against some random production differences too, the E11 4EFE I turbocharged only had one bolt hole for the distributor for example. A minor issue but still threw a curved ball into proceedings!
Do you have any tech info on your 4EFE?
So you know which adaptor works? You can get the 4efe rocker cover drilled and have the adapters welded in to match 4efte
This is the 4efe metal hose. I can’t dind the 4efte version. Are they different in diameter? I can’t find the OEM on the fte parts page. @JayYou can get the 4efe rocker cover drilled and have the adapters welded in to match 4efte
I can’t find the repair manual for the 4efe. Do ylu have one?.Do you have any tech info on your 4EFE?
Which adapters should I use? Thank youYou can get the 4efe rocker cover drilled and have the adapters welded in to match 4efte
I probably opened the thread in the wrong section? Why is this in the cruising and meets section tho lol
