speaking as a neutral (i dont care what site i use, the more the better).

what proof is there that Socks did put this virus in there, as above virus happen every day. I had someone hack my facebook and my password is cryptic!

if your keen i would suggest like above, start a new website with cheaper overheads and see if it kicks off.

Why should geo have to start a new site from scratch when he had a well established one already? If matt and the rest wanted to break away from uksc then they should have started a with a new board instead of ripping off 8 years worth of content from uksc. If it wasnt matt that sabotaged uksc's database then it was a massive coincidence givin all the other sneaky "tactics" matt used to pry the members away, i honestly wouldnt put it past him.
If it wasnt you (matt) i still cant see why it makes a difference or why your still trying to justify ripping the whole board off. the way you went about the whole thing was a total misuse of trust and the way u covered it up was as sneaky as fuck, in my opinion what you did was lower than low and you should be fucking ashamed, not on here trying to defend yourself for stealing someone elses hard work and calling it your own.

Can I just say the back end of Uksc was well and truly corrupted well before Matt was asked to help out with it. The downtime started and persisted for a good 4 months while Matt was still a regular member. From that very start of downtime UKSC was on a downward spiral. That was IMO someone messin with the tables In the back end trying to fix something that he had no idea about. That's why these problems happened so for the bandwagon jumpers just consider that before making any judgements

As above the issues started with the back end well before Geo asked Matt to help, Geo himself could not sort the issue which is why he asked Matt to sort it for him and it was Geo that then took it to a more expensive provider after various people offered to host it free for him.

Right, firstly, Geo - glad to see you are still rocking about the show. It is good to see some input as to what has happened to UKSC, I think everyone was unsure of what the craic was regards the reasons for the database constant errors, who currently owns it, and what the future holds for the site. I notice someone has edited a few curse words out of your post earlier but otherwise we can let the thread flow.

Equally Matt is quite welcome to add his input from the UKSO side of things, as a few have already pointed out there's nothing that definitively proves anything other than how the site was hacked. The sad fact is that these attacks happen quite often and it's very hard to prevent hackers getting in and wreaking havoc. The old TGTT boards were hacked quite regularly in fact. Yes you can read further into it all but unless the intruder left a fingerprint it's simple speculation.

I understand that feelings amongst the UKSC/O contingent are somewhat frayed given the way in which everything was handled. As such we simply ask that everyone respects our posting guidelines. That means keep it clean, straight and civil please folks.

Get the blinkers off boys these threads go round in circles because you guys only answer part of the points thrown at you. wether matt fucked the database or not it doesnt change the fact that uksc and everything associated with it was robbed, put onto another server and called by a not so different name. What was done was out of order. Ukso is a complete replica of uksc no matter what you guys say or do. Ukso might have hit ot off in a short time but thats only because its a uksc replica and it wouldnt be what it is now without the content and members from uksc. Most members would still be happily using uksc if it didnt go down like it did

Im fed up bieng given that option john i use ukso because uksc isnt there anymore. Just because i dont agree with what you guys did doesnt mean i shouldnt be using ukso and i have as much right to ise it as anyone else and the "if you dont like it fuck off" attitude will get you nowhere and i dont appreciate being spoken to like that!

I was just thinking the same John. Charlie you slate us so much for what we did and fair enough everyone's entitled to an opinion yet you still use ukso a lot. Why? I have no problem with it just wondering if your against us so much you still come on a lot

I think my last post will cover that steve.
I am voicing my opinion on the matter not slating ukso, after all thats what forums are for is it not?
I know geo personally and i know how cut up he was/still is by the demise of not just the club itself but his reputation and the respect of the hundreds maybe thousands of members.

The way it was dealt with was wrong and that isnt my opinion thats fact. You wouldnt cut the boss of your company out, steal all his business and everything hes worked for and rename it and call it your own would you? I cant see how this is any different

honestly if theres no money being made by anyone i honestly dnt know why the whole of ukso and tgtt dont just merge and make one big starlet owners forum.plan it our properly whos gna be staff etc etc whos gonna do what. imagine that. we could damn near take over the whole of santa pod/shows etc. one big club. just an idea lol.

Honestly I think this is a massive blow to the starlet community. The amount of accusations and mistrust hasn't been seen since WWII lol.

If it was me I'd focus on the new site while doing what you can about any other issues you have.
