oi moody sx turbo :p

hes asking about the emanage blue and asing if he wasted money other ecu's etc are guna pop up. but ppl have replied and said the blue will do what he wants it do therefore not wasted money.

And ppl will prob see them up for sale second hand so its worth a mention!

ryanjfo - yes but you cant run a car "too lean" either. its finding the right balance ppl do things differently everywhere. Our AF ratios are around the 11.6 mark under acceleration whereas i believe ppl in Malta run more in the 12's and ppl in the 10's are running slightly rich (ours does in 4th and 5th ours needs tweaking)

this power fc also has finer points of tuning more than emanage blue. I forgot the exact points but i recall nick comparing them and saying there were more points throughtout the rev range to tune the power fc than the emanage blue.

yeah pfc vs blue = hands down the pfc
pfc vs EMU = emu has same amount of points

oh i see...so have to tell the tuner i want optimum power and safety..oh is that because its a lot colder in england

i think your tuner will know what to do regardless as its their job :)

and a tuner will map your car safely after all their rep is on line ! :)

yeh that makes sense i hope he does cuz hes the best drifter in new zealand and voted top mechanic over here so hopefully he will have some idea.except i thought i would have to get it done by people that actully tune ecus not a mechanic...but they seem to have dyno and everything ...a little rough but looks ok

agreed, just to fine tune what u said kelly :) .. as from the data we have collected from various ecu's on 4e's the best tuning range for the af ratio on the 4e is between 11.8AF & 12.2AF this is on WOT @ full boost (per application of course) but af's are constant..

ppl running with af's of 10s are not running slightly rich, they are wasting fuel, & running excessively rich.. even the figure u use of 11.6af is pretty conservative as well, which i understand as ud wanna keep it on the safe side.. but running between 11.8 & 12.2 will give u much better power results & still be safe.. the leanest a turbo engine should ever be is 12.4AF & thats an absolute constant towards the leaner side of things.. ie not really reccomeneded..

so if i want to make sure its running between 11.8 and 12.2 what should i say to the tuner cus i dont wana sound stupid.do i just say can you set the air fuel ration in between 11.8 and 12.2?

tbh kon ive not seen many motors over here go much higher above 11.6 seems you guys over there are alot braver than the tuners here.

we hitting 10's in top of 4th and 5th and its something we need to change thankgod for the AF gauge one of best things ppl can buy.

tbh i would just talk to him and ask his opinion on figures he likes to map in etc etc! ask questions :)

I disagree with emanage blue being worse than pfc, what features does pfc havve that emange doesnt that are applicable to 90% of the eps running out there?

what was meant was in the case of fine tuning on the fuelling//timing map .. on thw blue if i remember correctly there was a 32x32 fuel table & from -16 to +16 on the ign maps..

on the ultimate its another story as imho it surpases the ageing pfc..
