Cheers for the advice guys

how do you remove it? im no good with things like this? do i just pull the wires out of the ECU and it will then be removed or?

positive and negative should be just removed..

then there are two (forgot the colours) that ar in between a wire.. you have to remove them and reconnect that wire from the ecu harness to the ecu.

dont know how to make myself more clear than that lol

you will need to cut the wires out, and then rejoin the wires with the fcd removed.

i would get a pro to do this though.

also put your efi pipe back on.

Yeh i was gonna get new engine and then sell it, but im gonna follow the advice and keep it i think

also can u tell me if its ok to keep this pipe disconnected
Photo0002.jpg

Cause when i removed the efi pipe it had nowhere to connect to

plus i left it disconnect anyway cause with it connected it wudnt boost intill 5k

if its the little vacum pipe. then will be fine its for venting off extra boost ;)

Looks like u have No Boost Solenoid lad and Running a FCD
NO WONDER YOUR ENGINE BLEW
Get Rid of that FCD and put it back on the Boost solenoid and your next engine will last.
Look after your engine and it will look after you.
Dont be all the a time Chasing more Boost
more Boost does not always mean more Power!!
Write that down

ur wrong there pal as ricky has said u need to take the fcd out or get a fpr and get it set up tho u need to sort the boost creep too

my bad, i assumed the HKS one worked the same as the one ive built, which doesnt alter the signal, untill it gets to the setting on the POT, and then once it gets over the pot, its offset, so it will still reach boost cut, but instead of it reading a map signal of 4.1 for boost cut, it would need 4.5 from the sensor to get 4.1 output from the fcd, i just assumed it worked like that lol

my bad

Yeh it usually connects to the boost solenoid but u can loop them so say.....but i traced where the pipe goes and it come from the actuator.....so it i left it unplugged will it be ok yeh? cos connected it dont boost intill 5.000rpm

leave the solenoid disconnected thats fine.

just deal with the fcd issue

Thats ok then ill leave it disconnected :D

i had to ask cause all my mates say its bad to leave it disconnect even tho they got crappy cars i.e gold vr6, fiesta zecte s wid puma lump lol

But yeh soon as i got car bk on the road ill drive it to autoelectric place

if you lived closer i would sort it for ya dude.

i had pretty much similar thing with my first starlet.

also the stock boost solenoid only controls the high and low boost funtion of the actuator, so by removing it all you've done is stuck the actuator on high boost permanently.

because you have a decat there is no garuntee that boost creep wont occur unless you put the stock efi pipe on including the stock air box.

the boost creep and the fcd are the reason you keep blowing engines.

you need to stop both of these as they are both detrimental to life of the engine, because even hitting the factory fuel cut to often will result in a blown engine.
