Hey Lads any idea what cheap ways i can make my GT turbo faster but cheap ????? tanks
bypass the high/low switch and throw in some washers between actuator and turbo to up the boost a little.. cheap as chips
were do u stick the washers bud ?? take it is just at the very end of the actuator were it clips on
yea no all that just never heard of it getin done hum mite just do that till i get this new starlet done does it hold the boost ok tho
yep.. ran mine for months like that
Considering people have gone 11's in the 1/4 mile at 120+ mph with stock standard heads, I think there are other areas where more economical gains can be made. Any professional headwork is going to be pricey, at least in this part of the world likely to exceed the value of the car! For similar money you could replace intake/exhaust manifolds/turbo/front mount intercooler/custom exhaust etc and end up with 50%+ increase in power vs perhaps 5% with a ported head alone. My only point is it should be a way down the priority list for those new to the modifying scene.
doesn bi passing the solenoid allow the car too hit fuel cut? im sure mine did when i tried it when i 1st got the car.
