mate you have to think about long time driavability, you staying 4e?, I have told you before that you are putting big strain on the trany if your getting full boost power and torque within 1k rev's where else a smaller turbo with little lag will bring the power on more gradually meaning less shock to tranny,
you could build it all up spend 10k on it and blow transfer box on the first lauch, and then you would have to buy another 4wd

" do not believe all the crap people tell you, the 95 i drive runs a gt30 on a 4e. on the old vf35 it could do 100 in about 8 -9 seconds without having to do a launch. that was running 1.5 bar boost. it now runs 2 bar soon to get another hike to 2.2... and i drive it everyday."

the truth is gaz that we dont no anything about these 4 wheel drives i think they can take alot more than people think but were just too scared to damage our own car in the testing
im gonna be the guinnie pig tho
even if i run 300 it should still be fun
but the way i see it is if your paying a fortune for all the parts like the forged engine then the turbo kit
you might aswell run it to the max
i find it rediculous when people pay 2 grand for a forged engine and run a hybrid ct9 on them
what a waste of money

oh yeah totally agree with that, it's just you can blow a gearbox up with 200 bhp and not blow one up with 300, it's a all one to luck, and if it does go it may be hard to find another rear diff or transfer box, dot get me wrong i am going to run a fair bit of boost through mine and see what happen's, going to source another 85 just in case:rockon:

ive got contacts in japan that could sorce me the parts if the worse came to the worse so its not all bad

i havent got 1 yet
been looking at a few i can get 1 anytime im just waiting to see if this deal goes through on my current car in which im getting a vtec yO in part ex which can be my run around while im building this up

gotta love BIG power fwd starlet's get them on a long straight and the speedo soon stops moving , BUT there is no better feeling about the amount of grip and speed that you can carry into the corner and out of it in a 4wd starlet:rockon:
and scarying the crap out of the passenger lol

how much more does it cost to build a 5e from say dave burwash ?

and whats the real advantage with the 5e
surely it cant be massive its only a touch bigger
