will get alot of people saying 4e blah blah, but 5e is ace can drive off boost quickly and loads of other advanteges, would cost prob another 3-500 depends if u source a flywheel or get a aasco lighten one, ask trevor what he thinks of 5e power
will pm

hmm tbh id be happy to just keep the 4e unless its not gonna cost too much more

5e

I drove the 1500 GT for around 200 miles using no boost at all and it goes surprisingly well. It's really torquey and drives totally different to a 1300 off boost. It pulls strong from around 2000 revs.

do you think it would be worth the extra cash when building a forged engine ?

thats it trev you dont really go for more bhp but for more drivablilty and less lagg using the same turbo's

on that big one that danes made hes hoping for full boost by 4200 i think

and thats on 4e i might be wrong with the rpm but its less than 4500 anyway

Full boost

The problem with running big boost is that by the time you get spooled up to full boost a lesser set up will be away in front.

Boost

It stands to sense that the bigger engine will pump out more air as after all engines are really just airpumps fuelled by air and petrol. The more air it can pump the more torque it will produce.

going a bit off subject now but would a bigger throttle body provide more torque on the 4e ?

got a good vid of abbott in 3rd and aze in 4th going from about 60-70 mph and it was that the 5e pulled away

Spool

It is when you consider a ct9 spooling up at 2500 if it's well set up.Usuable revs would then be 4200 to 6000.Most Starlets won't make anything after 6000 unless they have been fully built.Personaly I prefer something like a Blitz K1 which won't produce massive power but it spools up quick and is a hoot to drive especially against big power cars on a bendy road.A blitz K24 or similar sized turbo would be an absolute hoot on a 5e.
but 4200 isnt exactly a late spool up isit ?

after driving a 5E and my 3S for so long, the thought of a 4E isnt really an option.

Obviously the 3S is Big job and really expensive option but after driving a 5E its enough to make you think that is the right route. Just alot better to drive, the delivery is more expressed, more power through more revs. Its a nice feeling and something i feel the starlet has always needed a bit more of.....

Bigger Throttle body

I think it would be a waste of time unless you got the head flowed polished and ported etc to make the airflow more volume.I could be wrong though as i'm no expert i'm not even a mechanic.

cryo treating gears won't do a goddamn thing. i cryo treated my brand new gearbox, broke in a month, i cryo treated a friend's from malta who drag races his gt, broke too...

all in 3rd gear. i believe that the 4wd won't ever brake, unless you use drag radials, do a burnout and then launch on a dragstrip, but that 3rd gear will easily explode.

3S

I'd love a drive in yours. All you have to do now is finish it off with the rest of the drivetrain.(4wd)It would be a massive and expensive task but you know you want to.
