how and who started TGTT

The early days were so simple..

No one really had a clue but we kept guessing until we got it right. :haha:

Mack started up TGTT after starletgtturbo.com(?) bit the dust. There were a few guys that saw the need for an EP resource and these red pages were born.

I was a mere follower back then, the majority of the staff have moved on to other things but this site has always stayed true to it's first intentions - Help, guidance and advice offered by members for members.

With everyone's help we can keep that karma flowing.

i would be lost without it as im sure many other users would vouch for.

I only joined recently when i modified my NA starlet to turbo. Before that i've been active on the dutch starlet forum since 2004 (and am a mod there)

also noticed how this forum is quite similar (community wise) to our forum. peeps are friendly, willing to help and often stick around a long time after they have sold their cars just because it's a fun forum to be on and to help out.

that is what (i think) makes this community a lot diffrent from most other car forums!

so keep up the good work! this forum is a holy grail of info for the starlet fans out there (like me)

Keith (Macker) still has a GT, he never got a supra although I am sure he would still love one :)

The last time I met Keith in person was probably 2 years ago when we met to work out some stuff on the direction the site needed to take. His involvement is no longer but we can all thank him for having the vision to set up TGTT in the first place.

The site has been running for almost 10 years now believe it or not!

As for those websites that tell you how much a website is worth... considering they have no access to the site traffic information or anything else they are totally rubbish. The monetary value of TGTT is a lot more than 6000USD lol ... but to all of us I think it is fair to say this site is priceless.

Currently the site is run by all of the staff who jointly make decisions on its direction and development. Soon the site is set to make some great changes so keep an eye out ;)

Oh and before we put too much emphasis on the people who run the site remember that the loyal members have made the site grow and grow. I especially love when people who sell their EP's still regularly come and contribute on the site because it just shows that its more than just the cars it is a real community atmosphere.

10 years....its insane to think that its been that long. I cant believe i've owned my gt for over 10 years now, bought it in Dec of 1999. Does anyone remember the yahoo groups that existed before the forums got going? Or is that just showing my age?......
