High risk area, 21, Evo VIII FQ300 £1500 Fully Comp ;)
You must also be either;

A. Minted
B. In quite a bit of debt

or

C. Have a rich mummy and daddy.

Regardless of which, I am rather jeleous.

My MR2 turbo cost me £1400 fully comp, low risk area and 20. It now costs me £1300 TPFT and I'm still 20. That will teach me for rear ending a learner driver.....:homer:

What ... how!? lol Any quote i ever got was £1800+

Surely not ??! Who was that with?

Admiral - Try an FQ model. They're "UK" spec apparently. GSR is more.

A. Not minted, but earn quite well.
B. In some debt, but not loads and it's more than manageable.
C. I pay for everything myself, always have.

I was only joking bud, you don't need to justify how you can afford your car.

My brother has a IX MR FQ360 and I love it. Awesome machines. I'd kill for one but I couldn't afford the servicing costs and tax. His needs its clutch doing, gonna cost just under 1.5k! Performance car with supercar performance and supercar running costs. Awesome none the less though.

Nope, thats with a standard clutch, or he can get a helix organic clutch supplied and fitted for £1400. He did get quoted £1700 for supply and fitting of an exedy carbon twinplate which I thought was a good price considering the clutch alone is usuall £1k+

The £1500 Price includes clutch, flywheel and fitting. Labour comes in at 11 hours. I had a look up on how to change the clutch, its mental. The whole intake track has to come out, battery, sensors, the lot!! Most people who DIY it take around 20 hours or so to do it. Bonkers.

Mitsi are the same price as everywhere else he has got a quote from. Infact Mitsi are the cheapest when it comes to actually supplying the clutch. Madness!

The car is less than 2 years old and done 22k and the clutch slips. It really does beg the question, why on earth did Mitsubishi put in a clutch that isn't capable of coping with standard power? He had to sign a waiver when he bought the car from Mitsubishi stating that he won't launch the car lol.

I wouldn't recommend launching. Too scared to do so on my standard clutch lol. Has he tried Wallace Performance? Failing that, Extreme M-Sport in Whitburn will do a good deal on a Twin plate supplied in fitted. They normally have this at around £1400 on offer. Might be too far though, but worth it IMO.

Easty, if you wish to discuss the clutches, PM me. Just realised we are spamming the tits off this thread.

He has never launched it once whilst having it. I have almost launched it by mistake at knockhill once but that was it :haha:

Yea Wallace came in at around the £1400 mark, along with Clark Motorsport. Mitsubishi were around the £1500 mark. Extreme offered him that deal also.

I'm not too sure where he is gonna go, he won't be modding the car as it is still under warrenty then he will probably extend the warrenty so I will probably suggest he goes for the Organic Helix clutch as the twinplate will be overkill for a standard car.

Ahh i see well with an ek9 would you touch one with high miles?(

I would yes, depending on the overall state of the car. Those engines can go on and on when looked after. And most people look after EK9's well in the UK they do at least.

But remember, and EK9 is alot more fun to drive and handles alot better then an EP3 but straight line performance stock on stock there isnt much difference. Completely stock hondas get a tiny bit boring after a while, thats why i said, im only really into ones that have had alot of work.

I think you might be better suited with a starlet to be honest with you mate. Cheaper, its turbod and you know what your getting :)

Lol very true.

To get back on topic. I miss my Glanza big time. I would buy it back within a heartbeat given the funds and opportunity. They are fantastic little cars. So cheap to run and the amount of fun you can have in them is endless.

It's nuts. FQ Model is still an import. Indicator stock on the right, jap writing inside etc. They get imported by Colt Cars, HKS parts stuck on, more power. Because of this, they are UK models and then they are cheaper to insure :homer:
