Theres counterfeit nuts and bolts in
the aircraft industry it would'nt be
to hard to do it in the car game.

haha yeah i guess, though counterfeiting is done to make money.

unless these bolts would be useful in lots of other vehicles then i doubt someone has went to the trouble of making counterfeits yet.

what headgasket is jamesbaa using? unlucky sod.

Had you lubricated the bolts prior to installation? The photo's not very clear, but the bolt looks quite clean.

Nothing is ever 100% sure its not the first time one has snapped and wont be the last. i hate it when things fook up and hold back progress, even more so when its nothing you could of done. sucks :(

Im sure u know but just in case, when using arp's moly lube u have to use a certain torque setting, when using normal engine oil u have to use another setting..

id check the block to see if the thread is ok.. could be that somthing is amiss here... did u compare them to the size of a stock bolt?

bloody shittiy that happend though..

just to let you know if its a new snap on torque wrench you might have a problem, I had ordered 1 a couple of weeks ago and my dealer had to send it back before I even got it as they had been recalled due to poor calibration some were up to 20% out.
