The money ull waste buying a jam blitz Ecu
Ud be much better getting an emanage blue or a daz tech unichip
The cost pretty much the same if not less and at least u no is mapped to ur spec etc and will work 100% better than a pre flashed Ecu that might have been flashed to a std car with an uprated air filter
No one really no the specs of them
As a satisfied user of a Jam ecu for the pass 7 years I can't help but find such comments...upsetting. The debate about ecus has been ongoing for years now. At the end of the day, to each his own. If the man wants a piece of starlet tuning history let him have it without the browbeating. "will work 100% better than a pre flashed Ecu"...
Over the years I've used my Jam ecu with a ct9 at 12psi, a ct9/ct20 hybrid at 12, 15 and 18psi and currently with a td04 at 15psi max. 7 years...no blown engine, no tuning costs. As I've said before, these units are not the final word on tuning, but in my opinion they should not be slated as badly as some do. Circumstances considered, to each his own.
I had one for 3 years to with no issues and make 218 bhp on a ct9 hybrid I no they work
But do u not think that mapping ur car to ur set up would be better ? ? Of course a custom map to ur car will make it run 100% better that on Ecu that blitz slapped a chip in and flashed to some jap mans car !
My mate thought he'd do the same (kemnaychris) but once we fitted the mines Ecu he bought we found that the fuel cut was still at the std level and couldn't run 1 bar intact the car ran much better with the std Ecu
I'm just giving the guy my advise Cause not all ecu's are as good as folk make out
