well done guys its great to hear the secret of launch control has been cracked and the info shared freely. Also fair play to Kon for being the guinea pig!

So to piss on everyones parade... how harsh is this on components?

its not really, as 1st its soft then as u start moving it gets cutting agressively, but as soon as u lift ur foot & plant it again the launch control goes away .. the explosions happen more towards the turbo so if anything the turbo gets a little more stress, but i kept my eye on egt's ( the explosions happen closer to the egt sensor) & i never saw temps over 800 deg...

i wouldnt dare with an oem manifold as ull blow it to bits very quickly.. but otherwise i dont see it any problem.. good thing greddy turbos can take launch control

remember this is not anti lag dy.. so its much softer on the components than anti lag

Rep to you Fur well deserved ! thanks alot for that and right on Hybrid for giving it a shot hehe ! so we just have to change the wiring around a bit , change the ignition thing on the setup , and how do we retard 8 degrees ? on the ignition map ? thats the only part i dont understand now Cheers !!!

you don't trouble the ignition map
in the IGN setup screen where u setup the launch control there is an option for Ignition Adjustment marked -20 - 0 degrees, u put it in there
next to the start field (where u put the launch rpm) there is a checkbox marked adj, clicking this check will set the timing to whatever is in the ign adj field below once the car enters the launch control loop.

then once u move off and the car gets a signal from the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) the emu shuts off the launch control loop, sets back the timing to normal and allows the car to rev to the full rev limit

well for some reason i cant upload it here, but there isnt much in it lol ... it has the a/f target ready & some other stuff, but nothing major havent had time yet at hal far to set it up... lol... but im prob going to get it professionally set up at a rr.. but im not sure yet as it is really easy to setup... its timing that im not so sure about

ps make sure u have version 2.16 downloaded from www.mohdparts.com or my map wont work for u

not really, it wont work that way.. u need to adjsut the sampling rate & the % of adjustment.. its not there to map the fuelling for u, more like after uv set ur fuel maps its there to calculate & fine tune everything

ok so, quite a few ppl have asked me the settings iv used, jsut copy these down from the screenshots & i can assure u that it will work! this is how my car is set as of this afternoon!

for more boost u can retard the timing even more, but bare in mind that retarded timing means more heat means higher egts, thats how the boost is made anyways, so don't over do it. and if you don't mind a little miss in the map u can also add some fuel at the point in the inj map that the launch control affects for more fireworks

its not impossible m8! just a little patience & ur sorted, just make sure uv got a good knock link, af & egt & u can do it urself no problem.. but the readings the emu gets from the sensors is crap lol... so suggest u get another program for datalogging, it will make life much simpler

so besides the software , i wire the emu in exactly as it says in the manual , Plus wiring the Map sensor signal to the TPS input of the emu ? or Instead of another wire ??
