why do i get the feeling this thread has gone way off topic!


as for what my auto is running i will find out later in the year whean it has its 1 and only dyno run!

i think you misunderstood wat i was saying mate,

he was saying "they dont use manuals in high power drag cars"

and i was making the point that its basically impossible to shift that fast.

thats why they use autos.

I think there's only one thing for it. The Auto will see the track this year. Let's see how she fairs against lap times set by the trackstar and other EP's.

Anyone know the Stig's number? :p

what power is toby going for?500bhp/tonne? btw i talk shit my gt does kick you back but from 4-7k:)

Considering a Starlet weighs considerably less than a tonne...and Toby's not exactly kept the "Creature Comforts", he would probably be aiming North of 500bhp...which is exaggerated, but hey, it's a demonstrator vehicle after all

no i think toby is sticking @ 500bhp a tonne.

which works out roughly 350bhp, which is obviously more than enough!

but hes taking every cut he can to make it perfect, i cant wait to see it personally i bet its gonna embarrass alot of cars :)

oops sorry, I worked that out completely wrong!! I meant that considering he's aiming for that figure and the car weighs considerably less than a tonne, he'd be looking at South of 500bhp...I recall his aim of being 400bhp & 350lb/ft, which would mean his car would roughly weigh 800kg...

*hopes no-one saw the previous mistake*

I got about 150-155 hp no where near stock power putting it on a dyno as soon as manifold and exhaust system are on.

i wouldnt say no where NEAR stock power but yes, a slightly better performance over stock..... thats providing you even have quite that much as most people expect more then they actually have......

see thats only like 20hp more,

im sure your car is fast but im not sure its as fast as your making out.

150bhp isnt really a huge amount and would get beat by quiet a few things.

200hp i feel is when the starlet really comes to life and blows alot of things away.

wat bhp you hoping for deano

Also being a 1.3 it needs big BHP to also power on high up too..... As adam said 200HP in a little starlet is when i think it becomes a beast around the roads.....

A guy 2 miles from me has an auto Glanza and he's uprated his box, it has 3 clutch plates instead of 2 or something like that. He's selling it too.

this silver glanza is now dead my friend....was 170bhp....guy was from stone
