If anything, the slow down in site traffic can be viewed as a positive (sorry Dylan!)... If people aren't posting 'silly' questions, then it means that they've either blown up (more parts available) or sold on. That, leaves the die-hards, the ones that, when you cut them in half, have 'Starlet' engrained in them like a piece of Brighton rock or a cross-section from a tree. The recent thread regarding old-timers proves this, as even though they don't post, they're all still here, lurking in the shadows...
As for the reason, it's undoubtedly the economy. Whilst it might not affect your own pocket (until you get called in to the office and given a nice redundancy letter), the poor UK economy vs. the devastated Japanese one has left the exchange rate in array. The less cars that come over, the less excitement there is, and with significant exporters simply closing the doors, tuners such as JAM Racing going to ground, and large players like Apexi struggling, it's inevitable that things will slow down, and people, having lost the buzz, will look elsewhere. Even I'm guilty, I haven't imported a car for ages, and have effectively left my site floating without even updating it. I've even bought a new car for some weekend fun, and it's not even Japanese!
That said, there will be a day when I have another, weekend Starlet warrior in the garage... Question is, which vintage?
