they are total tits whoever they are!

annoys me something stupid even to think that some prick could just steal your pride and joy!

great that they didnt get it! your effort with the lock switch has paid off big style! hopefully give these cars a "hard to nick" name!

anything i can do to help just give me a shout though looks like it'll need a pro to get that sorted! anyhow the offer of a spare set of hands stands.

Cheers lads.

The damage is sorted now. Just a dent or two left that I can live with.

What you don't ever want to see in your lunch break :

It's been promptly modified tonight with the addition of some tinted rear windows. Don't let the bastards get you down!

Good work Jay, thats all you can do mate. She'll bounce back bigger and better :D

Get a security cam setup and get the bastards picture if they try it again. It's horrible to imagine it being mine, I can only imagine how it would feel if it actually was.

Still, looking forward to her next updates, with her tints and all :)

that sucks so bad. Id say the second time was different people, there abit more rash, as the first people wanted a undamaged car. Its been too long since the first incident and atleast u changed the locks in time (they were probly back and u dont know)

Seems the 1st thieves thought u wuda fixd the damage with another lock and seperate key for your boot or flushd ur boot like u did. Then hoping when they came back, they'd a easy undamaged get away so they could sell or its been orderd by some1.

Second people wanted a hoke just.

Unfortunatly i dont think any starlet u take to work is gonna be safe now, they know ull always be there and a starlet too! Ull just end up geting ur car damaged everytime they dont get away with it. Even if the ones get caught theyll have some other idiots informed that the cars there.

I think a good security device is the snap off steering wheel boss, especially with u being targeted at work its handy for u to stick it in your locker or a safe place. Kill switches and you can also get clifford alarm stickers and blue l.e.d off ebay quite cheap around £5 i think. If that doesnt keep them away id say a change of car, or work place.

Imo alarms are expensive and damage is usually done by the time theyve sounded.

Good luck, its a hard sitution to be in!

Cheers lads.

The first attempt was to get a key cut. Pure and simple. We saw on the cameras he was there for the boot barrel and nothing else - didn't even look into the car.

The second attempt was them coming back to lift it. The first car (Red VW) left the fucker off and the plan was to dander down to the car and just use the key to lift it. They weren't expecting different locks and had to bust the window. The second car (Blue Primera) was parked up watching him in case things went wrong.

These were not joyriders - I'd bet money on it.

Yes, I'm of the same opinion that it's been targeted for parts. Someone has blown an engine up somewhere and reckons they can lift mine.

I have the whole car marked so I'll know it in whatever number of pieces it goes into. Wrong car to pick on.

Best way really! to have your parts marked!! & would also recommend a decent alarm & disclock!! so the thieving scums know.. they cant take sh*t!!!

Yeah but then they will get really wise and get a flat bed and just either tow it onto the flat bed and go.. most thieves won't have access to these but if they are really after something you can't stop them getting one of these trucks and doing it that way.. then they can start work at their leisure once they've got the car back to their "hide out"

Glad your car is still with you mate!! I just installed a Toad Sterling Cat 1 into mine just cause the amount of work I'll be wanting to do to the car will leave me empty wallet and heart broken if it was taken from me!

Hope those thieving turds don't come back! But whats sad is, considering they targeted yours and the circumstances it wouldn't surprise me that they failed to take your EP82 and will now hunt for a different one and break the heart of another owner!!

Jay, does your work not let you park next to the office in the carpart, rather than on the boucher road?

I was going to say they picked on the wrong person lol! Hope all pans out okay Jay. We just remove key elements from the car which means you can't start them and would take hours to see what we have done but anything is possible at the end of the day.

Hope that's the last we hear from them buddy.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

I figured that they could work around an alarm at any rate given the approach they are using. Figuring that it was worth a few moments each morning I now disable the car myself removing a few key components.

I have a few additional measures as well which will drive them mental looking for why it won't boost/select gears/move etc.

It's all about slowing the fuckers down. If they want the car they will get it but I'll make it too much hassle. Basically if they approach me with a knife I can throw them the keys safe in the knowledge that she ain't going anywhere.
