Yeah, you are right, Knaggs did go very easy on me with pricing Most of my piping are mandrel bent aluminum, there is only one section that is crushed bent to towards the intake. I was told my performance will suffer greatly because of this, but as you and I have seen, that is rubbish. The clamps I got from knaggs as well, can't remember the price though. The hoses came from those SDRR bastards, and were quite costly tbh Add another $100usd to my final costs for fair comparison. Honestly, if I could have afforded a kit back then, I may have just gone that route, but I am happy with my FMIC settup so far. Remember, FMIC kits options for the ep82 weren't always plentiful for us, and they definately were not so competitively priced as you see today.total cost US$452.70...however, there is a slight issue which must be mentioned...lol......most locals would not get that excellent price of US$200 for the same job as u did......when i inquired....i was told it would cost roughly around US$350/400 to do the exact same thing u did---at the same establishment---i also think one or two others have paid the price i listed to have others set up also
which moves the total cost now to US$652.70......which is very close to wepr's kit...
and by the way newguye...did your price include buying hoses and clamps??...or was that an additional cost u had to pay?
if i could get the price u got...then it might be worth it for sure
PS- those are crushed bent pipes which were used...which also needs to be considered, against mandrel bends...which at our power levels i'm not too sure makes a huge difference, but i know some people swear by mandrel bends
Agreed. Still, if all of my bends were crushed I am sure that would be the case. I used mandrel bend 2" aluminum piping for my setup. There is only one crushed bend at 30 degrees in the whole piping so I really don't think I am losing that much as apposed to the huge decrease I was told I would suffer by some I could be wrong though...newguye, u can't say that the crushed bend hurting ure performance is rubbish until u exchange it for a mandrel, you would be surprised, take it from me as i have gone thru a few setups, i too had knaggs run my IC piping with some crushes when i had on a CT9 for a bit more $$ than you however (you got a nice price)
crushed bends and mandrel bends are chalk and cheese
Does anyone have a pic of the wepr FMIC with the bumper removed?
I'm trying to find a FMIC to fit in the condensor space in the front of a Sera, space is very tight and from the sounds of those core measurements it could well be ideal.
Does anyone know the total size?
HID is good for what you pay only problem is the butchering of the front bumper to fit it... ideally you would need a front splitter to cover it up
Yeah this is the only downfall the the HDI kits and its the cutting of the front bumper. Despite the large cooler people have not reported any issues relating to 'Lag' which goes to show how much research went into the kit as the cooler is very large indeed.
