In my opinion (good chance I'll get slaughtered for this, but...)

Dave is hardly displaying excellent customer service here (literally - its not bad, but not great), if it was me I'd have dealt with it via PM, but what damage is being done to Dave's business by posting this? Plus you're guaranteed a quick response if you deal publicly.

So why shouldn't he post his experience? Also, sourcing a second hand rad cap could be just as hard, if not harder than buying a brand new 'in stock' item. Especially if you've got cash to get an uprated item.

Mistakes happen, I know (we're only human). Its how they're resolved that matters.

Dave

lol fair enough.

I only got sucked into this thread because I thought Monka's posts were just plain rude. But its none of my business tbh, I shall butt out. :D

Me too (butting out), I just though I'd back monka up a little, he seemed to get attacked by everyone lol :)

I can see where he's coming from, I hope it gets sorted

but dave has already said to bring it back and he will replace it for a new one(the correct one),

Not only that he has appologized for the inconvenience...

I guess im a bit different, i can appriciate things going wrong every known again, so im a bit more lienient(SP) towards these situations..... To me this is far from a big problem and not wirth the hassle...

But yeah, thats just me :)

so your not allowed to make public compliants these days?
whats the problem with making this public?

and montana, what you on about rude? where have i been rude, and i ordered on the 15th, you can see that in the email i posted up,

the 20th was when i emailed dave to ask when it was being delivered, as i have had stuff before that arrived instantly.

and if dave was that bothered, being that in my paypal contact infomation is my phone no, hey.

why should i return it when i still dont have a clue as to if the one i ordered is currently in stock?

it shouldnt matter whether i spent 2k or 2quid, a paying customer is a paying customer, why should everything be kept underwraps? if this was a brand new trader everyone would be saying completely different here, shouldnt matter,

God...what a do over nothing.

Glad everyone is now happy.

nothing? yet if i had spent thousands, you wouldnt be saying that,

i dont have a problem with dave, its everyone else on here.

dave is a great man, great customer service, this thread is testament to that and how well he deals with stuff.

how ever if i would have said in the first thread i had spent hundreds of pounds and this was a new trader to the site, you wouldnt be saying that.

Yeah I think you are rude mate, not 'cos you made a thread, just the way you've said things. Just look at your posts.

You really are making a mountain out of a mole hill mate. It was a simple mistake on Dave's part its doesnt matter how much the thing costs it could and should've been rectifeid in the same way, by simply giving Dave a call as soon as you realised the wrong item had been sent.

Mistakes do happen and one's like these are easily rectified, I remember seeing things about Toby sending out wrong engine mounts yet there was hardly any fuss made, sacha has sent out downpipes with the wrong flange before, which cost more and are a bigger problem if your waiting on getting a whole turbo kit fitted, yet again there's never been a big fuss made. Why? because its a simple little mistake.

You have got your knickers in a twist over nothing imo. I wouldn't be surprised if Dave refuses to deal with you in future in fear of angering your pmt over a small mistake.

how the hell have i made a mountain out of a mole hill?
i simply made a thread for dave to look at, is it my fault everyone has jumped on the band wagon,
i have said the item is now dealt with and i am completely satisfied now.

so let me ask people again, would people have made the comments they have made if this was a brand new trader?

its taken me 3 months to get a radiator cap, not from dave, but various other people, i accept that due to that i may have made some brash comments on here about that, but the only mountains here is everyone jumping in to defend some one, i simply made a thread, not like any one has done that before

dave, i apologise for this thread as i said on the phone to you.

everyone else, jumping on the bandwagon, what problem have i caused you with this thread, if anything dave is the person who should be wenting his anger at me, yet he is only calm one on here,

Everyone is making comments because as montana said with the early post he quoted you seem to be getting really worked up over nothing, every time Dave seems to offer you a solution you jump back down his throat.

If it was a new trader then yes the comments apply the same, simply give the person a call or pm, its a small mistake on Daves part which didn't warrant a thread posted unless he wasn't responding to you via pm's or on the phone. Thats why its a mountain.
