The Simpsons is known for its long running Couch gag at the beginning of each episode. However, that's not the only fun and cool thing that the show has done. Sprinkled across multiple episodes, the show features clips from a movie starring McBain, a movie star in the same vein as Schwarzenegger and Stallone. However, if you put these clips together, you can actually form a full coherent story!

The sun has a life span of 9 billion years. It is currently roughly 4.5 billion years old meaning it will die soon (4.5 billion years). Imagine ... no planet earth in 4.5 billion years time. Something tells me it will be destroyed by humans long before then!

Reign: June 20, 1837 – January 22, 1901

Queen Victoria was ruler of the United Kingdom for 67 years, longer than any other British monarch. During her reign, the British Empire expanded to encompass one quarter of the land on the Earth, making it the largest empire ever. The United Kingdom flourished under her reign, with the Industrial Revolution taking place. Victoria lent her name to the Victorian Era, a time when the United Kingdom’s power was at its zenith.

In 1947, Grace Murray Hopper was working on the Harvard University Mark II Aiken Relay Calculator (a primitive computer).

On the 9th of September, 1947, when the machine was experiencing problems, an investigation showed that there was a moth trapped between the points of Relay #70, in Panel F.

The operators removed the moth and affixed it to the log. The entry reads: "First actual case of bug being found."

The word went out that they had "debugged" the machine and the term "debugging a computer program" was born.

You'll have to excuse me being a little sketchy on details, i heard this a while ago...

One of the most bizarre maritime incidents occured off the coast of japan when a fishing boat sunk after being struck by a cow.
The cow had been sold and was being transported by cargo plane when it broke free of its shackles and started charging about the plane. fearing for their lives, the crew decided to open the rear door and let it charge overboard. They figured it wouldn't hit anything as they were over sea...

At a glance, the Celsius scale makes more sense than the Fahrenheit scale for temperature measuring. But its creator, Anders Celsius, was an oddball scientist.

When he first developed his scale, he made freezing 100 degrees and boiling 0 degrees (upside down). No one dared point this out to him, so fellow scientists waited until Celsius died to change the scale.

The number pad on your computer is upside down when compaired to a telephones keypad. The reason for this is when then first computerised systems for operators came out, the operators where able to type the numbers way too fast for the early computers to keep up, so they changed the layout of the keys to slow them down.

When Chuck Norris looks into a mirror, the glass shatters. Even a mirrior knows not to get in between Chuck Norris and Chuck Norris.
