well, they've emerged from under their rock now, but actions speak louder that words so let's see what happens.

This topic should have been left from here onwards, no matter what is further said or discussed NOTHING makes a difference until it is all sorted. End of.

Also if he gave a shit at all he would stop taking orders through his website! It looks to me like he is taking new orders and using that money to pay for parts for people who have outstanding orders... that is not a solution.

I dont think anyone is persecuting him I think the lack of contact FOR MONTHS is bound to piss people off. Keep this in mind... TOBY, not anyone else, TOBY has put himself in this position and as I have already said... a generic mail to everyone will solve nothing and takes zero effort.

He should give everyone a detailed update on their orders not a mail full of excuses looking for sympathy.

I am not condoning what has been done at all, I personally think its a shocking situation but he isnt a dull guy and maybe, just maybe he will do what it takes to save his business. Remember there are lots more avenues to revenue in the performance car market than TGGT.com.

People in roles with a certain authority need to behave differently to others.

Dylan does not need to sit on the fence if he does not wish. He obviously feels strongly enough about this situation, or I'm sure he would not post. Just because you don't like what he's saying doesn't mean he should not post!

whats that comment all about lol. dylan is as entitled as any1 else to make a comment on here. dnt see why u got a problem with that. infact i got a good idea, if u dnt like it then dont read it....and btw toby for whatever reasons has destroyed himself but he is clearly happy to take peoples money and rip people off. leaving his website online pretty much proves that. there should be a 'stay away from toytuning' banner on every car forum and magazine, at least until he gets himself sorted and at least tries to sort out this dreadful mess.

Well, I'm going to sit on the fence with this one!
I've never had any dealings with toby or toy tuning, so can't give a decent opinion! All I can say is he needs to sort himself out quickly before his name gets anymore tarnished!
I remember when everyone use to have good dealings with him, and he use to give out some good helpful advice.
He isn't the only poor trader on here tho, had some shabby dealings with other traders, all you do is to remember not to use them again!
 
Well that depends on the financial situation of the company, it's not nonsense at all.


your right but it also depends on the nature of business the company is in, in my business cash flow is crucial,

but toby gets paid in advance for the majority of orders alot of which were dropshipped, so cash flow isn't really an issue unless he is an idiot when it comes to managing his resources.

His customers shouldn't suffer for his poor business skills, I'm sure other traders here have grown just as quickly but have managed better

too big too quickly is nonsence he was more than capable of managing the growth of his business i.e. phasing the development of new products/limiting the flow of sales on certain items on his site where he couldn't meet demand.

The only reason any of this happened is because of Toby.

I will give you a detailed answer to your question as I think it is deserved.

1) I was a toytuning customer and personally received crap service from them

2) Whilst the staff of TGTT collectively made the decisions with regard to toytuning I have the pleasure of directly communicating those decisions to Toby. The communication was extensive and despite him promising to resolve things and giving excuses he continued to screw over members of this site - I feel very strongly about that.

3)Toby emailed me, not the other Admins... and as threads have been opening day in day out from people who have not had contact from Toby I thought it was only right to let them know that he is using the Internet, he is sending mails to people but he is not bothering contacting members he owes parts/money to.

4) I am a member of this site too and if I feel like posting I will. If other admins want to post or not that is their business just the same as if other general members on the site choose to post or merely read that is their business

I hope that answers your question for you. This situation is unique to me in that almost weekly I am involved in some sales issue or another on here and deal with them behind the scenes but am not directly effected. In this situation Toytunings rubbish service caused me to miss 2 days of work not to mention being stuck without a car for the duration of my trip back to Ireland. So whilst I am used to sales going bad and seeing the effect this has on people, in this instance I was directly affected and know about it first hand.

Believe it or not I was very pro ToyTuning and personally gave Toby multiple opportunities to put things right as far as I am concerned he threw that back in my face and the face of a lot of members on here.

As for your comment about TGTT not being the only source of customers for him....TGTT launched his business and the members of this site made him a lot of money. He showed the members of this site what he thought of them when he started taking their money and then ignoring them. If toytuning have other channels to market fair play to them but TGTT and its members are my priority. They also had a channel in the form of UKSC and they managed to destroy that too. Word travels fast online. Ultimately remember this - Toytuning did this to themselves and were given a second and third chance and continued to ruin their own business - I have zero sympathy for them. I run a business and if I ran it in the same fashion I would not be surprised to have the community I serve turn on me.

I received a very apologetic email from Martina on tuesday the 7th saying that most of my order had been dispatched and i would get the goods within 2-3 days. (i had ordered a service kit c, thermostat, reservoir covers, oil and coolant).

That was the first email/contact i've had since ordering at the beginning of June before finding out their situation from you guys!

Even after sending multiple letters and emails to Toy Tuning, using Consumer Direct and Trading Standards advice, this is the first means of contact i've had since!

On wednesday the package came, however missing the sump plug, fuel filter, coolant, and reservoir covers, i emailed to let them know this and what they still have to give me yesterday lunchtime, but have had no reply since...reckon ill be another month for an answer?

Personally if Toy Tuning were to get back up and running again...I very much doubt i'd choose to use them and i'm sure most of the people on here and uksc would agree. Most of the parts i ordered from toy tuning were fairly urgently needed and having contacted and dealt with Dave from TM Developments, it would be very hard to top that service now!

Unless people have actually had an issue with toy tuning, i wouldnt bother backing them up because you didnt get the full brunt of his cock up. it's VERY frustrating when someone has your cash, doesnt supply any goods, doesnt give you a refund and doesnt even bother to contact you to even tell you WHY! :(

At last orders are getting fulfilled, is anyone else in the same situation?

i've been emailing toby all this week and have reply's within 3 hours.

this morning he replied withn 5 mins 3 times now.

i know toby has done bad, and he cant be excused for that, but i hope he is now actually sorting people out.

he's certainly being helpful to me,

i know i'm being pro toby but i have dealt with plenty of other people and havent had to great a service from others. maybe it's just me i dont know,

we'll just wait and see if he does sort out outstanding orders or not.

yeah totally! Martina emailed me earlier to say, everything is in stock and is getting dispatched today, about 10-20mins after me emailing her back this morning!

Hopefully everyone that's been waiting for months get sorted out asap!!

Yeah in a similar situation to you mate. I placed my orders on the 10/06/09 and 12/06/09 I have now received part of my 1st order and two emails (received yesterday) explaining the situation with both orders explaining that they would get an update as quick as they could on the rest of my first order and said the stock for my second order was due in but hadnt arrived so offered me a refund or a longer wait (I chose the refund). I am now waiting for any other emails updating me on the situation.
