thats a simple one my good man, if your crank isnt torqued propperly then you have the most catastrophic scenareo possible, ie fucked oil pressure, which in turn does not push hard enough on the head as oil pressure would not be high enough as its escaping from under/over the bearings..

in my opinion, id start with a new block mate... seems like too much has gone wrong with this engine.

mr ragz you pull a stunt like that in the caribbean the last thing you will see is a flash of light buddy .. i suggest you do the right thing and proceed to refund the man 700 quid and a smile for his troubles and find your self a competent engine builder

how do you mean? like james bond style where he blinds the bad guy with a really bright light? or are you suggesting you'd shoot someone over 700 quid? .. .. definition of a keyboard warrior!

just read the whole thread.. one bad engine builder.. i may be wrong but to me it reminds me of a oil pump failure..

Oil pump was fine as we inspected it when we removed the pump, the bottom end not been torqued right seems to be the problems.

i wouldnt say he means it like that at all as i would say cracking skulls doesnt mean im going to get a very large nut cracker. maybe have a think about things before you start to get annoyed and randomly post in a thread giving out! that would be my definition of a keyboard warrior

ragz your builder needs to wake up abit as a couple were on from the start of the thread and had it down to torque being wrong and then it was confirmed by a proper garage. pics then of the block ect means that this is what happened end of. you need to step up here and accept it the engine you sold him shat itself regardless of build quality you sold him a new rebuild motor and it didnt last very long

if your mec can build something like that then i wouldnt believe anything that came out of his mouth

Thanks pig666eon, its a right ball ache, I text him last night and ges gonna cast aneye over this thread.

Just have to hope for a full refund so I can afford to buy a new block and crank.

Krissy's block is sold. But I did get some 74.5mm pistons for it. So that's one less thing to worry about.

Thank you everyone for your help and input, especially ed and gurrturbo who have been kind enough to try and source me a new engine etc.

Hopefully this can come to a speedy resolution as I need the car back!

well tbh a full refund is whats needed as by the looks of things nothing is salvageable and what is wouldnt be worth putting back into a new build

i will pm you now with some info i might be able to get you a good full bottom block if you have a head there

Even the head is going to be scrapped. The pitting on the buckets etc just says it all, the whole lot is good for weighing in and that's it! Or an expensive table ornament!
