Cheers lads for the replys.

Aye its given me nothing but problems scince it was mapped.
Im sending them back to whom i purchased them from, and there being sent back to Magnecor for a look at them. Magnecor have a 10 year warrenty on them..... Just aswell!!

Been looking for NGK leads or something more affordable than the TRD or Ultra leads.

How do stock leads handle increased power levels?

I have had Magnecor for at least 5 years now and no bother with them, maybe its just a bad lead you got Rory.

Glad thats all it was in the end, as you say, the smallest things are the hardest to find sometimes and it took it to fail completely before i you could nail it.

I am a bit dissapointed but, thought there might be a few parts going up for sale cheap lol.

ah good to hear man.. god its always something simple isnt it.. i do see local rally drivers using insulating tape on plug leads cause of the static build up in the bay under hard driving... i wouldnt no much on this point but apparently it helps with heat soak aswell

usually something like this isnt it. Glad its something simple.

I think its sometimes naturally a strong initial reaction to say something that has failed on you is plain and simple shit, I have done it many times. I suppose when the initial emotion has departed you will agree that anything can fail. A percentage of everything fails and what is very important is how they handle their support and honour their warranty - will be very interesting to see how that goes.

It is a pain in the hoop when your item happens to be in the percentage that fails :( I know a lot of members on here use those leads without issue, I have them in my car and they have never given me trouble and their look and feel was one of quality. I suppose a lot of the time you only see people writing about the bad experiences but its one of those parts people would rarely bother reviewing in detail - kinda like spark plugs or oil filters.

Anyway hope you get a good reaction from them and I have always wondered what the limitations of stock plug leads are - would be interested to get feedback on people who have tried running them on a modified car.

magnacore will change them under warranty.. my friend sent back 2 sets in 6 months.. both king leads where giving trouble. the 3rd set the 3rd cylinder lead came off the plug part when changing plugs. didnt bother send them back again and got himself trd's 1 year and still good.

The king lead wasnt in any sort of tension was it? Wasnt run under an intercooler pipe which could have been pulling on it when the engine moves? Just seen some king leads that are on the edge of being to short.

With the Magnecors it seems to come down to who assembled them. Personally I have never had a set fail but have heard of a few. The main issue with them is always pull them from the boot, never on the lead itself. The best leads I have used are TRD, only 5mm but superior build quality, some times it worth paying that bit extra Rory

Aye simple things, but when they were under 6 months its something you look over. Ill remember for next time!!

Steve - Wasnt snagged anywhere, its something i make sure of just incase, it does get snagged etc etc

Dave - Ill have to have a think but ive got a shot of some leads from Mark@CMB to tide me over until i get another set through, ill see how the new set get on and if i get any issues, ill be going TRD by the sounds of it.

Cheers for all the help though guys :)
