***Closing the Classifieds Section***

Don't really agree with that, it wouldn't matter if we made the feedback visible.

is it possible to tell if someone has 300+ rep for good sound technical info and also has -3 rep for failing to deliver 3 items that cost in excess of £100 each,

and if the current system is made visible it could be difficult to search through peoples rep and see what rep was relating to sales.

I think a seperate rep/feedback system that is visible is a good idea although it depends how time consuming/difficult that would be to integrate on top of the current site

Dont worry about how difficult or time consuming it is... that is not going to be a factor when deciding what we go with. If it is worthwhile doing we will do it.

What are peoples thoughts on having a Sales Feedback link under the reputation score in the users profile like we have with their Members Garage which is displayed over here

I am on another froum (hmt.com) there they are very intolerant to bad sellers and employ a vouch system basically someone sells something they list other members they have sold as vouchs and those members also input into the thread etc.

this is the best way really as its moderted by the users really. Like ebay feedback, no fedback then be very careful etc.

sorry about the bad selling, it's really cold in the workshop and I can't be bothered correcting it lol.

the sales feedback sounds good and maybe up the amount of time the user has been on the forum before they sell as said earlier or more posts even tho i only have 70 or so lol good idea :):)and ban all bad sellers in future

I agree with the post count and time served as a PAID member i think rather than juat registered. Also description should be detailed and have close up decent pictures with a date on some paper and your username in the picture. All items above a certain amount must be recorded delivery, and have the mods look over every classified post more thougherlyp). Also sales feedback sounds like a great idea.

This is also my main place i buy my parts becuase they are at a bargain price half the time so i would like it to stay :D

Just my 2p. :)

Probably not mate as we are looking for all ideas so I dont really want to limit us to voting on a few ideas... Id like as many people as possible to come out with ideas. We will then look at what is possible within the constraints of the forum software and what is possible with the staff we have.

Do you not like my idea Dylan? I'll be available 24/7 for screening.

yeah it was a great idea... I particularly liked the picture of the anteater...

He would be excellent at patrolling the TGTT classified section.

finally lol, this will be a great improvement, it will easier to use just like ebay before we buy something we check the sellers feedback,

at least test it dylan for a time limit and see if it imroves things,

like gee said some members always state "check my feedback" like my self too and by creating a link will definatley lower the crime rate lol because theres no such thing as no bad sellers, every place, shope internet will have someone to spoil it but with this new feature will have some security for buyers and will prevent a bad sale transaction because the buyer wil be aware of the history,

trial it dylan plz lol

Personally I think only allowing paid members to sell items is an absolute must!
Also the feedback system is a fairly good idea. I use another forum which has an 'itrader' function which has a ebay style feedback scoring ability.

Also Dylan, I havnt got my xmas competition prize yet! :p

i totally agree about the the feedback style option. that would be alot better than having a set amount of rep. not every body reps, i try my best to help alot and i dont get much rep like i should, i see alot of people ask to be repped for the info they provided also which they shouldnt have to

so yes, the feedback option would be good

I dont have any new ideas im afraid but I think paid members only, 300+ post count and a sellers rep-type system are all good ideas:)

On a side note, nice to see how pro-active everyone on here is being about this! Especially you Chris:kiss: Anteater ftmfw yo!!

try these methods see how we get on, surely its better than the way it is at the moment
