Right, was time to prep the engine. Given the weather outside I was glad of some shelter, I'm used to working outside during the winter (usually warmer than inside the old garage!) so a nice dry arena is a novelty which won't wear off any time soon!
Here's our victim. Semi cleaned and still a bit manky. I needed to mint it up sharpish so the work began.
First problem - this aftermarket sender doesn't fit the block, we'll just have to go with the stock oil pressure switch until Phil finds an alternative.

This rocker cover was fucking me off it so it got attacked.
Was going to add some lines but I couldn't find the chalk..

I finished around eleven, still have to find a few bolts for the splashplate on the gearbox but otherwise we're fit to fit.
Wee John mentioned that the PAS pump and feed pipe may need swapped from a Glanza so I'll investigate that tomorrow amongst other things. Hope the colour scheme (or lack there of) hasn't upset Philius too much, it's easy changed if he needs to put his stamp on the engine.
